Information involved in a request
The service needs certain information to inspect a source and prepare the output you select:
- Your submitted YouTube URL and associated source details are processed to find formats and carry out the requested job.
- The IP address visible to the application and recent request times are used to enforce request limits. Hosting and network providers also process connection information.
- Queue records, working files, and prepared outputs are stored on the server while a job runs. Finished or failed jobs become eligible for cleanup after approximately 1 hour.
Account, advertising, and tracking choices
There is no site-account registration requirement. The application does not include advertising or its own analytics scripts, and we do not sell personal information. Cloudflare currently adds a Web Analytics beacon to delivered pages for performance and usage measurement. The application, hosting infrastructure, and network providers also create operational records. A visit is therefore not free of technical measurement or logging.
Why we process this information
The information supports the following operational purposes:
- Inspect the submitted source, prepare the selected output, and make the finished file available to your browser.
- Apply capacity limits and respond to abusive or disruptive requests.
- Investigate failures, handle support messages, and maintain the service.
Temporary files and records have different lifetimes
The configured cleanup window for completed and failed jobs is approximately 1 hour. Files and job records are removed when cleanup next runs during website or worker activity; inactivity or a file still being served can delay removal. This is an eligibility window, not a promise of deletion at an exact minute. IP-based rate-limit records use filenames containing the address visible to the application. Expired request timestamps stop affecting the limit, but the current cleanup routine does not automatically delete these rate-limit files. Hosting access and error logs and email correspondence have separate retention practices.
Preferences stored in your browser
A language-preference cookie is set with a one-year expiry. A light or dark appearance preference is saved in browser local storage. Public page language is selected by the URL. You can remove these preferences in your browser settings; a later visit can create them again. These preferences do not remove server-side records.
Other services involved
Our server requests source information and media from YouTube and its delivery infrastructure. Video previews can cause your browser to request a thumbnail from its host. Cloudflare provides network delivery and currently adds a Web Analytics beacon to delivered pages. Hosting, network delivery, performance measurement, and email providers process information needed for their services and may retain operational records. Their policies govern their own processing. The application uses system fonts rather than downloading Google Fonts.
Support correspondence
A message to our contact address includes your email address, the text you write, and any attachments you add. We use that information to respond and may retain it for follow-up, recordkeeping, or an unresolved complaint. Our email provider processes correspondence. Send only the information needed to explain your request.
Request information or deletion
Browser preferences can be cleared locally. To ask about access to or deletion of information connected with your use of ytdown.com.in, email [email protected]. Identify this domain and explain what information your request concerns. We may ask for limited details to locate a record or confirm your connection to it. Security needs, legal obligations, or an unresolved report can require some records to be retained. Do not provide passwords.
Keeping this policy current
When our handling of information changes, this page should be revised to match. The date records a revision to the policy; it does not change each time you visit.
